On April 27, 2009 FRIENNDS, Inc. hosted its first annual "Nite with FRIENNDS" Gala Dinner Dance at which we honored members of our community who have made extraordinary efforts to enrich the lives of our children by their work or their voluntary deeds. The 10 members of our community who were selected to receive the honor last year are John & Karen Acompora, Councilman Stuart Besen, Bill Bryde, James Cavanaugh, Bill Elkins, Senator John Flanagan, James Leonick, Tim & Janet Scherer, Donald Strasser, and Ann Stevens
On April 26, 2010 we hosted our second annual Gala. The honorees at this year's Gala were Joan Baltman, Fritz Garrecht, John Lynch, Rod Miller, Kyle Orent, Ken Femiano and Chris Pica.
Two wonderful evenings included very successful fund raisers which resulted in nearly $4,000 each year which will be used for the benefit of the children of our school district!
